How Does The IceProbe Small Aquarium Chiller Work?
By using our IceProbe solid state thermoelectric cooling system, the Aquarium Chiller directly converts electricity into cooling power utilizing the Peltier effect. The chiller’s probe cools the water by removing heat and radiating it into the atmosphere through fins with the help of a quiet, low-speed fan.
Cooling Performance A single IPAC-50W chiller can cool 10 gallons of water 6ºF to 8ºF below ambient air temperature in a standard aquarium. Multiple Aquarium Chillers can be used to achieve higher temperature differentials.
Greater temperature differentials can be achieved by insulating the exterior surfaces of the aquarium. For example, a single Aquarium Chiller can maintain a temperature differential of over 20ºF in a fully insulated 10 gallon aquarium.
